Hello and welcome to our website
We are a small kennel in Plymouth, Devon and have been interested in the breed for the last eight years. Our thanks go to Sue Ellis of Chayo Kennels for the wonderful dogs we have and all her valuable advice and support.
We are the proud owners of five Malamutes; Inca, Shadow, Flynn, Tia and Lucey. The dogs are part of our family and all live in the house with us. They all have a superb temperament and are very affectionate to us and everyone else they meet.
Our hobby is to show them and they enjoy it as much as we do. Tia and Shadow have both excelled in the show ring with Shadow’s best moment being Best of Breed at National Working and Pastoral Championship Show and Tia’s being Best in Show at the Alaskan Malamute Club of Great Britain and also having a 1st in her class at Crufts 2006.
Flynn has just started out in the show ring and is already showing signs of following in their footsteps.

We also work the dogs on a rig and it’s something that we just love to do. We haven’t been brave enough to enter a rally with them yet as Shadow likes to take in the scenery and doesn’t realise that it is a race !!! We hope to enter them in a rally this year purely for fun. There’s nothing like getting up early on a cold and frosty morning and have the dogs pull you on the rig howling as they go. It’s brilliant and once you try it you’ll be hooked.
We are members of the Alaskan Club of Great Britain (AMCUK) and abide by their code of ethics. Our dogs are eye tested yearly and they have been certified as clear. They have been hip scored and the score came back as under the breed average.
I also help out with the Malamute Rescue doing anything I can from Home checks to collecting dogs that have had to be given up for various reasons.
I will help anyone I can with advice on Malamutes and if I don’t know the answer to your question I can always find someone who does. This breed isn’t for everyone and you must do your research and visit Malamutes and their owners before deciding if this is the right breed for you.
For me though they are the most beautiful, affectionate and intelligent dogs that I have ever owned. Their magnificence never fails to make me smile and be warned they are addictive. Once you have one you’ll want more !!!
